Safeguarding
Keeping children safe is our number one priority here at Pennine Way. Every day we are trusted to look after children both in school and when we take them into the wider community and we take this responsibility extremely seriously.
To aid staff, parents, children, governors and visitors to understand all of our procedures we have organised them on this page on our website. Most are aimed at adults but some are more child friendly and we ask that you share them with your children.
What is Safeguarding?

Prevent
Prevent is a service provided by the counter-terrorist police which is in place to stop vulnerable people from being radicalised and drawn into extremism. In an area like Swadlincote, it is important to recognise that this is more likely to present as extreme anti-diversity and racist beliefs and behaviour.
